Merry Christmas!

It's still very Christmasy in F1! Please look at the highlights of this week.

- Angelia, Subo, Daiwik, Lan, Linh Lan, The Anh, Nghia, Uyen got video messages from Father Christmas and they were all very happy to be on Santa's nice list!

- We made gingerbread man and chocolate rice krispies and shared them with everybody. They were so good!

- David celebrated his 3rd birthday. Mum and Dad brought in a '5 Little Men'cake. The children enjoyed the chocolate cake especially the delicious fondat icing! Happy birthday David! Thank you for celebrating your special day with us!

- We went to the hall and watched the Milepost 2's 'The Peace Child' performance. The children sat beautifully and watched the whole play patiently. All milepost 2 children did an amazing job! It was indeed a heart-warming story!

- We had our first EYFS rehearsal for our Christmas Celebration on Tuesday. The children showed so much confidence as they performed 'Jingle Bells' and 'Up on the House Top' infront of all the EYFS teachers and friends. Well done F1!

- The children had a chance to visit the art exhibit ran by Milepost 3 children in cooperation with PDV in the foyer. Some children were able to buy pin badges and Christmas cards. The children in both BIS and PDV did marvelous artwork!

- Ms Charlie, our school's Art Intern, helped us make Christmas decorations that will be sold on Tueday at the Christmas Extravaganza.

Good job F1 for another great week!

Newsletter 2.12.2013

Christmas is truly in the air as we introduced our Winter Christmas  theme with the children on Monday. They were very happy to see our role play area that turned into a Winter Christmas scene and also snowflakes all over the classroom even up the ceiling! Another exciting activity for the children was our new area at the Fundino playground called Mud Kitchen. They all get to explore cooking and food serving using our kitchen utensils and equipment that we believe help children progress in the different areas of their development.

On Tuesday, we got a huge present from Father Christmas- our Christmas tree! All the children helped in putting up the decorations such as jingle bells, baubles and tinsels. We then added Christmas lights around it and lit it up for the children to see. They truly were all very happy.

On Wednesday, the children watched a video about Santa's message. Two children each day receives a video message from Santa saying that they have been nice boys and girls and that they deserve a present. The children were very happy to see their faces on the IWB and hear Santa say their names.

On Thursday, we started making our Christmas decoration for the performace day and for the classroom too. Children have been very busy making their Christmas tree, reindeers and their own Santa Claus.

On Friday, most of the children dressed up in their winter clothes. We then put our AC on the lowest temperature and pretended it's winter season! The children enjoyed our role play area, going up and down the bridge and pretending to shiver. Just before lunch time, we watched Frosty The Snowman on the IWB as well.

It has been another fun filled week in F1X and next week will be another busy one. We hope all the children gets a good rest over the weekend. Well done everybody :)
